This is a brand new Mechanical Advance Distributor, for standard deck Small & Big Block Chevy V8 Engines #ALL81220 This Chevy Performance distributor, with mechanical advance, works with an aftermarket ignition control box and external coil. Fits Small and Big Block standard deck height Chevy V8 engines (except 348 & 409). The Housing is CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum with upper support bearing to provide accurate timing at higher RPMs. This distributor includes advance springs, advance stop bushings, round manifold gasket, o-rings, spark plug wire retainer cap (with screws) and instructions. Uses same wiring connector as MSD 6a, 6 al2 and most others. Has a black cap and black plug wire retainer.
Features: * CNC machined billet aluminum housing and billet aluminum base * Easy-to-adjust mechanical advance with supplied springs and stop bushings * Maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor create stable trigger signals throughout the rpm range Advance plate and weights * Mechanical advance assembly can be locked out for crank trigger systems * Advance weight pins are staked and tig welded to the plate * Nylon pads ensure smooth operation of the advance weights * O-ring seals can be added to modified blocks to improve oil pressure control * Supplied with an HEI style distributor cap and rotor (accepts Cap-A-Dapts) * Must be used with an Ignition Control box * Will not accept a vacuum advance canister No CARB Exemption Order Number. For V8 engines only, no coil, plug wires, or control box included.
Specifications; Can be used with an MSD 6, 7, 8 and 10 Series Ignition. Fits most Chevy V8 eninges.
