This is a new Dart # 41215000 Big Block Chevy Tall-deck Aluminum Intake manifold w/ 4150 carb flange (special order part, no returns). This Dart big block Chevy manifold comes with oval ports to match your big block cylinder heads. These single-plane, high-rise intakes are designed to produce maximum power at higher rpm. Dart manifolds are designed to make engine building easier. For example, this tall-deck big-block manifold uses standard length distributors. Carburetor pad is specifically designed for a 4150 carb. Extended runner dividers equalize port length and are radiused to equalize cylinder-to cylinder fuel distribution. Optimized runner cross-sectional area maintains high mixture velocity for maximum torque. Angled runners turn the air/fuel mixture smoothly from carburetor to ports. Dual distributor hold-downs simplify timing adjustments. Raised water cross-over and air gap insulate the intake charge from engine heat. Integral bosses for nitrous injectors
Compatibility; These manifolds are engineered to fit the Dart Big Block Chevy cylinder heads which by design have a standard intake port location but have port sizes and openings that are not standard. These manifolds are also capable of fitting various other cylinder heads. (some modification may be necessary) NOTE: Dart Big Block manifolds will NOT fit stock Chevrolet cylinder heads. Milling .070” off both intake faces will usually assure a correct fit. We do offer a manifold machined to fit stock chevy heads with a standard (9.800”) deck and a 4150 carb, part# 41114000GM. Ported intakes are found on race engines all around the world. They are designed for racing only and to develop maximum power for the intended purpose. These manifolds perform well when used “out of the box” but can be improved for your specific application by port matching, porting, polishing and other modifications. We recommend that if any porting or machining is done it should only be performed by a qualified porter or machinist.
