This is a new MSD 8913 Tachometer Driver, DIS Ignitions Tach driver Ever wonder how you can install an aftermarket tachometer on a vehicle with no distributor and multiple coil packs? MSD has the answer with the Distributor-less Tachometer Driver! The compact Tach Driver measures only 1.5” x 3.5” x 2” and is potted with a polyurethane compound for vibration and water protection so it can easily be mounted under the hood. It wires inline on the coils’ 12 volt supply wire where it senses the current going through this wire and converts this information into a 12 volt output signal that most aftermarket tachometers use as a trigger signal. It can be used on 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engines.
Features: Easily connect a tachometer to a coil-per-cylinder ignition. Also can be used to drive other rpm controlled devices. Compact housing is easy to mount.

The Tach Driver is designed to be mounted under the hood. The circuits are potted in polyurethane for water resistance and vibration protection. Position the Driver away from excessive heat sources and mark the locations of the three mounting holes. Use a 5/32” bit to drill the holes and secure the unit with the supplied screws.
Note: It is recommended to have a wiring schematic of your vehicle's ignition system to clearly identify the Coil Positive (12 Volt ) supply wiring. Caution: The Tach Driver cannot be used with a Capacitive Discharge Ignition (such as an MSD Ignition Control). The voltage on the coil positive must be below 18 Volts.

MUST HAVE A RGA # BEFORE RETURNING. ONLY NEW ITEMS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN. The Warranty on new items is through the Manufacturer and you must follow their protocol for exchange/return. Buyer pays all freight charges to return regardless of reason. NO Returns on Fabricated covers or Special Order parts.
